What is Rainwater Harvesting?

Rainwater harvesting is a way of saving the rainwater which would normally flow off a roof and down the drain, and using it as piped water to flush toilets and for the garden watering, yard washdown, vehicle and car washing, and even for your washing machine, instead of using expensive treated drinking (potable) water.

We are a short, 10 minute, train journey from Liverpool City Centre and the new Liverpool One Centre, full of great restaurants and bars. West Kirby is on our side of the Mersey and home to walks and the marine lake. Oxton villiage is a quiet place to enjoy a pint at the 'OBT' or the 'Shrew'.

By Train & Foot (10 to 15 minute walk from Birkenhead Park Station)

Ffrom Liverpool Lime Street, take the Wirral underground line (either line left or right), and board trains heading for either West Kirkby or New Brighton & get off at Birkenhead Park station.

Come out of Birkenhead Park Station & turn left, walk across the bridge to the roundabout. Keeping left, turn left on to the Dock Road. We are located approximately 1/2 mile down on the left hand side. Very large white signs and banners. (look for the Union Jack flag)

Motorway journey

At the end of the M53 motorway, take the Dock Road sliproad(A5139)...take care not to take the Liverpool tunnel road to the left. Carry on to the roundabout and go straight on. We are approximately a quarter of a mile on the right hand side (look for the Union Jack flag)

From Liverpool (by car)

Come out of the Wallasey tunnel and take the toll booths to the left, carry on to the roundabout and take the first left turn down to the lights. Turn right on to the Dock Road. We are approximately 3/4 of a mile down on the left (look for the Union Jack flag)

From the Northern Irish/Irish ferry terminus.

Come out of the terminus to the roundabout and turn left on to the Dock Road. We are approximately 1.5 miles on the left hand side (look for the Union Jack flag)
